Travel Photography in India

India fascinates, India attracts. Sometimes makes you angry, but surely it never leaves you indifferent.

India is a country of strong contrasts due to a complex society, made up of wealth and opulence on one hand, and extreme poverty on the other. Despite this, the beauty of life is constantly celebrated through its outstanding notes and colors.

Music is omnipresent, from rattles on women’s feet to litanies from temples. The sparkling pallettes of the saris and the bright colors of the turbans, color the streets and villages.

In short, a trip to India is a concentration of unique and deep experiences, both for its incomparable landscapes, for its trembling megalopolises or for unexpected encounters.

Snake Charmers in Jaipur. Snake charming is the practice of appearing to hypnotize a snake, often a cobra, by playing and waving around an instrument called "pungi". This practice was historically the profession of some tribesmen in India, members of the Sapera or Sapuakela castes.

Samanera in Bodhgaya. In Pali lenguage, the word samanera, means 'small monk' or 'boy monk. Even if very young, they have to adopt part of the monastic code and study the canonical texts "Vinaya" in preparation for full ordination.

The Ganga Aarti ceremony is celebrated at sunset in the Varanasi Dasaswamedh Ghat, where an elaborate puja (offering ritual) is performed. The main element is fire. It takes place on a stage with a group of young pundits dressed in saffron-colored clothes. It begins with the blow into a shell, continues with the waving of incense sticks in elaborate twirls and then moves on to large fire lamps that create plays of light and shapes in the dark sky. All this is accompanied by songs, hymns and bells.

Ganga aarti ceremony in Varanasi; It is a Hindu ritual dedicated to Mother Ganga, the Goddess of the holiest Indian river. Etymologically the word aarti means "before night". In fact, this ritual is performed at dusk.
