Valtellina: a Visual Story of Life in the Italian Alps.

—  PERSONAL PROJECT / Documentary Photography  —

Valtellina, nestled in the majestic Alps, is a valley with two distinct personalities.
While it shares traits with other famous valleys like Val d’Aosta, Valtellina offers a unique duality in both nature and tourism. The northern Rhaetian side is more familiar and popular with tourists, while the southern Orobic side remains a hidden gem, untouched by mass tourism, characterized by small valleys, pristine wilderness, and centuries-old traditions like the production of Bitto DOP cheese made from Valtellina cow’s milk, rich with the flavors of high-altitude pastures.
